Duenstudio collaborates with Milanese marble atelier Sio Design to reinterpret Ignis Spina through the enduring character of Italian stone. For this limited edition, the original cast brass is transformed into Verde Alpi, a distinctive marble quarried in Italy and selected by Sio for its depth of colour, mineral movement, and singular natural pattern.

Carved by experienced Italian stone artisans, each piece reveals a dialogue between an established form and a material shaped over geological time. The sculptural silhouette remains composed and precise, while the marble introduces an element of quiet unpredictability—veins travel across its surface, colours deepen and shift, and no two pieces can ever carry exactly the same landscape.

Verde Alpi brings the work closer to the earth from which its material originates. Its cool, weighty presence holds a sense of permanence, while the organic traces within the stone suggest landscapes compressed into form. Against this ancient material, the warmth of the flame becomes especially vivid: light moves across the mineral surface, awakening subtle variations in colour and revealing details that remain invisible when unlit.
